What a testing engagement looks like
A straightforward sequence, run to the standard, with a result you can act on and document.
Review the specification
We start with the project spec to confirm which standards apply, the target pressures, the number of tests, and the sampling locations — so the testing matches what the design team actually required.
Schedule around the build
Testing is coordinated with the construction schedule, often at early, mid, and late completion intervals so installation issues surface while they are still inexpensive to correct.
Set up the test
We seal a calibrated chamber to the selected specimen and, for water testing, position the spray apparatus — verifying equipment and conditions before any reading is taken.
Run air and water testing
Air leakage is measured per ASTM E783; water penetration per ASTM E1105 using uniform or cyclic pressure. The interior face is observed throughout the required test duration.
Report pass or fail
You receive a clear result against the specified criteria, with the conditions and measurements documented for the project record.
Diagnose if needed
If a specimen fails, we help trace the leak path so the responsible trade can remediate — and re-test to confirm the fix.
